#1 EUDR will not be delayed
The EU Environment Commissioner has been doing the rounds across the world, visiting countries which are rich in forest risk commodities to understand the challenges in regards to getting ready for EUDR. During a recent visit to Ivory Coast, he stated to Reuters that EUDR will NOT be delayed and compliance will start from 30th Dec 2024, as was the original intention. We’ve just come back from a full day on EUDR at Food Matters Live in Ascot, where we heard directly from EU and UK representatives about their regulations and the ongoing conversations with stakeholders across the supply chain.

For example, if the Latex is turned into Condoms and then shipped, then you are NOT in scope. The HS code for your shipment will determine whether you are in scope or not. Feel free to check with us
#Spotlight: Wood Commodity
We have been doing some digging into the main differences between EUTR (EU Timber Regulation) and EUDR and have created this graphic to highlight some of the key ones. Not exhaustive by any means, but hopefully this provides you with a clearer understanding of what’s changing for the wood commodity:
